The aim of this study is to analyse the economic potential of Lampung Province in
terms of the development potential of each economic sector that can support
economic growth in Lampung Province based on analysis of Location Quotient
(LQ), Shift-Share, and Economic Sector Typology. This study uses secondary data
obtained from the Statistics Indonesia and Lampung Province. From the analysis, it
is found that out of a total of 17 economic sectors in Lampung Province, there are
9 economic sectors that have potential to support economic growth in Lampung
Province with a special level of development, more than enough, and sufficient to
be developed. These economic sectors are: (a) sector of transportation and storage
with special level of development; (b) sector of agriculture, forestry, and fisheries
and sector of water supply and waste management with more than enough level of
development; (c) sector of construction, sector of provision of food and drink
accommodation, sector of information and communication, sector of real estate,
sector of business activities, and sector of education activities with sufficient level
of development.

ANALISIS POTENSI EKONOMI PROVINSI LAMPUNG DENGAN
PENDEKATAN MODEL BASIS EKONOMI

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis potensi ekonomi Provinsi
Lampung yang ditinjau dari potensi pengembangan masing-masing sektor ekonomi
yang dapat menunjang pertumbuhan ekonomi di Provinsi Lampung berdasarkan
analisis Location Quotient (LQ), Shift-Share, dan Tipologi Sektor Ekonomi.
Penelitian ini menggunakan data sekunder yang diperoleh dari BPS Indonesia dan
BPS Provinsi Lampung. Dari hasil analisis diperoleh bahwa dari total 17 sektor
ekonomi di Provinsi Lampung, terdapat 9 sektor ekonomi yang potensial dalam
menunjang pertumbuhan ekonomi Provinsi Lampung, dengan tingkat potensi
pengembangan istimewa, lebih dari cukup, dan cukup untuk dikembangkan.
Sektor-sektor ekonomi tersebut adalah: (a) sektor transportasi dan pergudangan
dengan tingkat potensi pengembangan istimewa; (b) sektor pertanian, kehutanan,
dan perikanan dan sektor pengadaan air dan pengelolaan sampah dengan tingkat
potensi pengembangan lebih dari cukup; (c) sektor konstruksi, sektor penyediaan
akomodasi makan dan minum, sektor informasi dan komunikasi, sektor real estate,
sektor jasa perusahaan, dan sektor jasa pendidikan dengan tingkat potensi
pengembangan cukup.
