LAMPUNG COMMUNITY
POST REGIONAL EXPANSION

The purpose of this study was to determine the socioeconomic conditions of the
people of North Lampung regency after regional expansion. This study uses
secondary data obtained from government institutions such as the central
statistical agency (BPS). the purpose of regional expansion is to improve the
quality of public services in order to accelerate the realization of public welfare.
Regional expansion is expected to bring up new centers of economic growth, be
able to increase a variety of potentials that have not been explored optimally both
the potential of natural resources and human resources, open the community's
constraints on development and can break the chain of services that were
previously concentrated in one place / The capital of the district or the capital of
the sub-district, triggers the people's motivation to participate actively in the
development process in order to improve their standard of living. The method
used is descriptive analysis with a statistical analysis analysis tool (independent
sample t-test) in this study. The results of the analysis show that there are
differences between North Lampung Regency as the main district and Waykanan
as the district that it has expanded.

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui kondisi social ekonomi masyarakat
kabupaten Lampung Utara pasca pemekaran wilayah. Penelitian ini menggunakan
data sekunder yang diperoleh dari lembaga pemerintahan seperti badan pusat
statistic (BPS). tujuan pemekaran daerah adalah untuk meningkatkan kualitas
pelayanan publik guna mempercepat terwujudnya kesejahteraan masyarakat.
Dengan pemekaran wilayah diharapkan dapat memunculkan pusat-pusat
pertumbuhan ekonomi baru , mampu meningkatkan berbagai potensi yang selama
ini belum tergarap secara optimal baik potensi sumberdaya alam maupun
sumberdaya manusia, membuka keterkungkungan masyarakat terhadap
pembangunan dan dapat memutus mata rantai pelayanan yang sebelumnya
terpusat di satu tempat/ Ibukota kabupaten atau Ibukota kecamatan, memicu
motivasi masyarakat untuk ikut secara aktif dalam proses pembangunan dalam
rangka meningkatkan taraf hidupnya, Metode yang di gunakan adalah dengan
analisis deskriptif dengan alat analisis statistic deskripsi (uji independent sample ttest)
dalam penelitian ini. Hasil analisis menunjukkan ada perbedaan antara
Kabupaten lampung utara sebagai kabupaten induk dan waykanan sebagai
kabupaten yang dimekarkannya.
